"Charlotte and I know each other as if we were sisters. I'm more nervous about this event than I am about competing. We're going to go for another medal. I watched some of our footage back tonight and I got such a buzz."

Co-nominee Charlotte Evans says: "I was screaming down the phone when I found out we had been nominated. It's so nice to dress up and hang out for once. It's going to be a really amazing night."

"Sports Personality is massive. To be recognised on such a big platform is a huge thing. Without the event, we wouldn't have that opportunity. All sports people love this event."

"The Commonwealths were pretty special. The whole Games were absolutely amazing but nothing can beat a world record at the end of the day."
