Angelique Kerber on BBC Radio 5 live after her win earlier today: I am playing good tennis now. I'm enjoying London and played a good match today and I hope I can play more like this.

I think it is still a long, long, way to go to the final.

I am looking for next match and it is important to play my game, to be aggressive and I must play really good tennis to get through to the next round.

Here's the story of day seven so far...

• The 27th seed Coco Vandeweghe lost in straight sets against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
• Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber beat Misaki Doi 6-3 6-1.
• Fifth seed Kei Nishikori retired injured after two sets, meaning Marin Cilic progresses to the quarter-finals.

American ninth seed Madison Keys reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time last year, going out to Agnieszka Radwanska in three.

She has the big groundstroke game to attract some tipsters' hard-earned cash this time around and she is giving Romanian fifth seed Simona Halep a tough old time on court two.

It was a tale of two serves in the match between Marin Cilic and Kei Nishikori. 

Nishikori looked to be hindered by an injury and the Japanese player eventually retired towards the end of the second set.

They are still duking it out on court two.

Earlier, 16-year-old Finn Bas, from Somerset, was plucked from the junior draw to hit with Andy Murray.

It must be a melon-twisting session but the youngster is holding up well as he provides a stream of groundstroke fodder.

Murray's team are pretty good at putting him at ease as well with Ivan Lendl inquiring about his second-round opponent in the boys' singles and Jamie Delgado praising his forehand.

Roger Federer just doing what Roger Federer does.

Sweat-free, stress-free tennis that politely but firmly eases aside early-round opponents.

Second set bagged.

So Roger Federer's potential quarter-final opponent is decided. Croatia's Marin Cilic - the 2014 US Open champion - awaits in the last eight.

Federer is serving for the second set and moves 30-15 with a cosy drop-volley.

Sam Querrey unleashed a thunderbolt of a forehand smash to set up set point against Nicolas Mahut. 

Querrey duly took the first set and leads 2-1 in the second.

So far so good for Sam Querrey. He beat Novak Djokovic in the previous round you know. The lanky American has taken a nip and tuck first set against last-16 opponent Nicolas Mahut. 

Querrey caused the world number one all sorts of problems with his power and he's still in the zone here. Twelve aces and a 92% win on his first serve means he is in command.

Roger Federer is getting his feet well under the Wimbledon 2016 table.

The Swiss duke has snapped Steve Johnson's serve over his knee again and is ahead in the second set.

Wimbledon's fifth seed Kei Nishikori of Japan retires during his fourth-round match against ninth seed Marin Cilic with what appears to be an injury.

Kei Nishikori is having a word with the doctor to see what he can do. She's giving him more pills, so he's going to carry on. He didn't even look at his team - coaches Dante Bottini and Michael Chang - in the stands to open up a bit of dialogue.

Roger is playing the right way and Johnson's serve and forehand are good but his backhand is not good enough.

Dominika Cibulkova has edged ahead in the third set over on court Two against third seed Agnieszka Radwanska.

They are locked together at 3-3 in the decider.
