I feel with Venus it's very fluctuating when it comes to her level these days. She hasn't seen the ball clearly and there was clever serving into the body by Suarez Navarro.

Nick Kyrgios is sat about a half-hearted lob of a tennis ball away from the BBC TV production office, just close enough for me to zoom in and snap him, just enough for you to pick him out. (He's the one wearing the white tracky top and snapback baseball cap if you're struggling.)

The top seed ends the final rally sat flat on her backside as she loses her footing and can only watch Svetlana Kuznetsova's backhand speed away to secure the break.

Bernard Tomic of Australia - a quarter-finalist here in 2011 - is trailing on court 12 against Frenchman Lucas Pouille.

Pouille is 30th in the world rankings - 11 places below Tomic - and the 22-year-old is in the last 16 at Wimbledon for the first time.

I hope he is keeping his phone nearby and up loud. He could be required on the main stage shortly depending on how Serena Williams' match goes.

Don't forget that Andy Murray is in action around 16:30 BST as he takes on fiery Aussie Nick Kyrgios.

Some believe the 21-year-old's booming serve works best on grass, including his compatriot Pat Cash.

"With a serve like Nick's it is harder to return on the grass and so he will get a few extra points with that serve. The slower the court the more rallies he has to hit."

Venus Williams and Carla Suarez Navarro - seeded eighth and 12th respectively - have had three wins each from their previous six matches. Those results have followed a pattern. Venus wins, Carla wins, Venus wins, Carla, blah, blah, etc. etc.

Venus won the last meeting, coming through in straight sets in Wuhan last year.

So it is Carla's turn right?

Seems so. The Spaniard is a double break up in the first.

Britain's Jonny Marray is in doubles action on court seven and my word, it's a bit of a ding dong.

Marray and partner Adil Shamasdin are in a deciding-set battle with Pablo Cuevas and Marcel Granollers. 

At the moment it's 11-11 and they've been playing for three hours and 45 minutes!

Kuznetsova has got to try to hit the balls deeper and bigger in order to push Serena onto the baseline. On Sunday, things were flowing and Williams is picking up where she left off. Kuznetsova, I'd like to see her take a few chances and go for a few big forehands. Sometimes I think she plays a little too passive these days.
