It's been trophy central for British competitors on the final day at Wimbledon.

Murray's victory came after Gordon Reid won the inaugural men's wheelchair singles trophy, while Jordanne Whiley and Japanese partner Yui Kamiji claimed their third consecutive women's wheelchair doubles title.

And there's still one more competitor to go.

Heather Watson is up next on Centre Court vying for the mixed doubles title alongside Henri Kontinen.

    Andy Murray wins Wimbledon

This may be my favourite quote ever.

Roy, Andy Murray's grandad on BBC Radio 5 live: "There was nobody to watch the game with me - they were all at Wimbledon but I had to stay with the dog. It was easier to watch than the first time. He played so well today. His tennis was remarkable. There's still these points when you wonder if he'll do it or not - but it's amazing."

Andy Murray is always trying to improve. It couldn't have been easy losing the Australian Open for a fifth time this year, and then losing to the one guy who's held the weight against him for so long in Novak Djokovic at the French Open, despite having taken the first set.

I'm really pleased for him. You do put so much into this, he will be so relieved now.

Andy Murray said on court that he would concentrate on enjoying the occasion this time after being overwhelmed by the enormity of 2013.

    He is doing exactly that.

He takes the trophy for a show and tell with a few thousand people packed below the balcony of the Wimbledon pavilion.

And then signs schoolkids' autographs and poses for selfies before finally getting back into the locker room to celebrate with his team.

When I saw Andy Murray in the locker room after his Wimbledon victory in 2013 he'd put such expectation and pressure on himself he was pretty much in shock. Now he's got another one under his belt I'm sure he's going to make sure it sinks in, he'll really enjoy it.

After checking his name is spelt correctly on the winners' board (it is), Andy Murray clambers up the clubhouse stairs to meet the Royal Box posse.

Front and centre are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and William, who offer sincere congratulations. There is London mayor Sadiq Khan, and Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch as well.

But to be honest, they all in the shadow of that understated man's star quality.

When he won it for the first time, he had paparazzi outside his house and he had to stay inside for days. He hates that sort of thing - I don't think we'll see the same reaction from the British press this time though.

    Eleanor Oldroyd
Presenter, on BBC Radio 5 live

Andy Murray has looked so serious for so much of this championships, but now he is beaming. I wonder if he's soaking it all in a bit more this time. It can be a blur, I suspect, when you win it for the first time.

Murray delivered in every aspect, it really was an amazing finish to a fantastic fortnight for him. He stamped his authority, got up 5-0 in both tie-breaks. His first serve percentage, he only made nine unforced errors... Murray used all his skills to keep making Raonic play and make life difficult and it paid off.

It was almost a faultless tournament from Andy. It was so special. He perhaps had one blip by losing a set against Tsonga. How often can you say that?

Which kinds of sums it up.

If 2013 was a joyous, wild, incredulous occasion, this was content, well-founded confidence fulfilled.

Now, what next? Three out of three Grand Slam finals this year, and you would not bet against him fighting it out on the last weekend in New York.

A lifetime ambition realised in 2013 and he's backed it up three years later. And in that time three Grand Slam finals have come and gone. I get the feeling Raonic will be back too.
