MKDonsPaul: Ivan just smiled
James Harris: Lendl smile klaxon!
Murray 6-4 4-4 *Raonic
Andy Murray duffs a backhand wide on the first point of the game and there are the first signs of the adolescent arms as he swings moodily to his box in reaction.
Maybe he locked gaze with the deep, dead eyes of Ivan Lendl. Maybe it was a private pep-talk with himself.
Either way his game snaps into shape sharply.
0-15 turns to 40-15. Milos Raonic gets lucky with a net cord, but there is no denying the hometown kingpin.

Another big hold for Raonic. And such is the power of his game he's always only four really big hits away from a break.

Murray will be so disappointed. There are moments in matches when momentum swings and Raonic holding, you sense it could be one of them.

You feel there's a little bit of momentum with Raonic now after that hold.
*Murray 6-4 3-4 Raonic
Andy Murray pings a dipping pass right on the toenails of Milos Raonic to knock him back from game point.
Oh I say! A lovely kid-glove push past the Canadian brings up break point Murray.
Raonic hurling his weight behind his forehand, but Murray reads it. In comes Raonic, but Murray with a play on a running backhand down the line....Nope! Into the net to Centre Court groans.
Raonic makes good his escape, but his service-game shaves are getting closer and closer.

Andy Murray's return of serve is stopping Milos Raonic from getting up to the net. And apart from that and his serve, what else does Raonic have?
Murray 6-4 3-3 *Raonic
Milos Raonic with some fresh ammunition to send down.
The Canadian moves to 30-0. Two pinpoint passes from Andy Murray peg him back to 30-30.
A rocket service winner for 40-30. A duffed volley into the net follows.
Deuce.

It was at this stage in the first set that Andy Murray broke through...

Murray's serve is so beautiful and simple. If he hits a bad patch, it won't be long before he gets it right again.
Murray 6-4 3-3 *Raonic
Milos Raonic licks his lips, tucks in his napkin and clambers into an Andy Murray second serve on the opening point.
That forehand return is not as punishing so far in this second set though.
That backhand slap though was more like it for the Canadian, drilling away an 86 mph second serve down the line.
Murray's serve is not all about power though. It is about smuggling the fuzz past his opponent with precision. He finds his marks to move to 40-15 and then picks off Raonic at the net to seal the game.

Former British number one on BBC TV
It's definitely a bit breezy out there. Raonic was averaging seven aces a set up until this match. Just two today so far.
*Murray 6-4 2-3 Raonic
A puff of white as Milos Raonic smites his second ace of the match down the middle for 40-0.
His next serve less shock and awe, more sly espionage as Raonic jams one into Andy Murray's ribs.
Murray can only pat back into the net.

Andy is under no pressure at all in these service games. It's one-way traffic.
Murray 6-4 2-2 *Raonic
Andy Murray's body language is still full of happy harmonies.
The Scot is bouncing off his toes between points and swishing his forehand free and easy during them.
He rattles on to 40-0. A Raonic backhand finds some baseline rough and spits past the outside edge of Murray's racquet like a baseline googly.
But it is only a brief hiccup in the smooth sailing.
