The action gets under way at 13:00 BST.

The pressure on the class of 2016 to finally reel in the biggest trophy in sport is immense.

Great Britain captain Leon Smith: They’ve given us so many good moments together as a team and we needed them. As soon as we heard Juan Martin was coming in they showed their cards, that they wanted to finish the tie today. As the match went on, Andy started to return really well, Jamie was very, very sharp around the net and his serve has improved a lot. On a faster court like this maybe the team who played more attacking tennis at the net won the day.

We’re going to need the Glasgow roar tomorrow. Everyone is tired, it’s that stage of the season. It’s the same for their team, but if there’s somebody you want going out to get the first rubber on the board, it’s Andy Murray.

Jamie Murray: "It’s not going to get better for me than to play with Andy in front of a Scottish crowd. It’s quite emotional. We played a great match. It’s exciting for me that Juan Martin played the match, one of the best players in the world.

"We did a great job. Andy returned amazing and gave us a load of chances. We’re back in the tie and tomorrow we’ll be trying as much as we camn to get the two rubbers we need."

Jamie Murray was not just paying lip-service to the significance of playing alongside his brother on home turf. He had to stop the interview momentarily to regain his composure, leaning on Andy's shoulder as he did so.

Credit to Andy Murray and Del Potro after yesterday, there was some very, very good tennis on display today. I get the sense very much today the battle is won and the tie is very much on.

I can’t see Del Potro not playing tomorrow, he has to be their banker, which is why it’s still surprising - despite the fact they’re well in this match - that he was out here today.

Andy Murray speaking on court: "Yesterday was a very tough day, to come out and get the win was great. Jamie played unbelievably well. Two-one down is closer than we were at the start of the day. It is a tough position to be in, but I still believe that we can win it.

"Yesterday was a very long match and there were three hours on court today. I am tired now. I'm sure that their players are the same though. i will just try to get through the match and then see what happens."

This is another. Thirty-all on the Juan Martin del Potro serve and Jamie Murray lob-returns to the back of the court.

The ball hangs for an age - long enough for Jamie and his sibling to take up prime positions at the net - but the line judge rules it has dropped just long.

The video review proves the official right. Just.

And the chance is gone.

Andy Murray's turn to prod this set onwards towards a tie-break.

He holds to 15 and hit a nice volley clean through the gap between the two Argentines en route.

In the stands, the chants continue even while the stadium PA dumps a load of eighties hits over the top of the arena.

Juan Martin del Potro mashes one overhead smash into the court surface so hard you fear the ball will just explode into felt and rubber.

That draws a pantomine ohh from the Emirates Arena.

Del Potro is marching around with a grim look on his face. This is the business end of things.

Twenty-four minutes gone in the fourth set, two hours 32 minutes for the match as a whole.

Great Britain force break point at 30-40. 

A ping-ponging point ensues - a smattering of volleys, a scooped lob and finally Juan Martin del Potro slapping away the overhead to win the point.

Leonardo Mayer has been under the pump, but produces a stinging winner from way out wide to give his team sight of safety.

And Del Potro seals it with a volley so cute that Jamie Murray nearly ended up in the lap of the Argentine captain as he tried in vain to chase it down.

We feel you Judy.
