The two serves are dominating. Andy Murray cruises to 40-0 to make it seven unanswered points on serve so far in this set.

He floats a backhand wide to hand Del Potro a point, but an ace - held up on video review - seals the deal.

Juan Martin del Potro almost finds the game escalating out of his control.

From 40-0 up, he bops a forehand just wide and then sees Andy Murray's laser-guided lob drop in over his head.

    Forty-thirty.

A crushing inside-out forehand turns off the lights though.

Murray is still not right on that serve. He is not exploding into it like he was.

What a battle. I am looking forward to the battle between these two next year.

This could be a great rivalry if it continue like this.

I still think Murray is going to find a way.

So then who is your money on?

Andrew Barron Murray of Great Britain?

Or Juan Martin Derek Potro of Argentina?

These two are into uncharted territory having never contested five sets in their previous eight meetings.

Murray is 24-8 in five-setters, Del Potro is 4-9.

Make of that what you will.

Juan Martin del Potro's inside-out forehand sprays a whopper of a winner away from the baseline for 30-15.

An ace with more kick than mule in heat brings up 40-15 and two set points.

    Murray nips back one.

But Del Potro shows princess-soft hands to dab away a cute volley at the net and seal the fourth.

Andy Murray dusts off an anti-climatic service game.

it is all about the next one on the ramp.

Can Juan Martin del Potro serve out to take us to a fifth?

Can Murray smash-and-grab a break to keep an earlier end to the contest on the cards?

The quality today has been immense. In this set it has dropped from Murray. Del Potro looks stronger but that can change quickly in this game.

Murray no question about is not moving as well but he can get a second wind. We have seen it many, many, times.

We appear to be locked onto a fifth and deciding set.

Juan Martin del Potro clubs his way through a service game, encountering little resistance.

The standard has been stratospheric for the first three sets. We'll forgive them a dip.

This rivalry is one we can hopefully enjoy plenty more of in the next few years.

Well, there did not seem to be much wrong with Andy Murray in that game.

    He holds serve to love.

But it may be that Juan Martin del Potro - a break to the good but two sets to one down - is conserving his energy for what he hopes is the long remainder of this match.

He needs just two more serves of hold to take this rubber to a decider.

    *Murray 4-6 7-5 7-6 (7-5) 1-4 Del Potro

If you could link Juan Martin del Potro up to the national grid, Hinkley Point would be a moot point.

The Argentine is generating so much easy power, swatting massive mph with a leisurely takeback.

The effect may be exacerbated though by Andy Murray's condition.

The Scot seems to be having a mini-moan about cramp at the changeover.

The Glasgow crowd - apart from a sky blue and white section - wince as one.

Andy Murray has played Juan Martin del Potro like a fiddle, dragging him into the net and flipping a lob over the top

But his volley reply to Del Potro's desperate tweener retrieval is too casual.

He plants into the net for 0-30.

Another error under little pressure and it is 15-40 and two break points Del Potro.

The intensity of the first three sets meant it was impossible to continue at that level but sometimes you drop a level and it is difficult to get back up.

This is where the crowd can help as well, they can sense when there is a bit of danger.

That backhand up the line? The one that Andy Murray just could not stick in the first couple of sets?

    It has been located.

A roundhouse slug down the line from the Scot brings up 30-30.

Juan Martin del Potro shrugs off his attentions though, with some trademarked serve volley and cudgel.
