    What a game.

    What a match.

    What a player.

Andy Murray comes through an epic tussle to keep the third set alive. The Emirates Arena is breaching decibel limits left, right and centre.

    What was that?

It was probably the worst shot Murray has ever hit in his career.

Andy Murray with a horrible framed forehand volley that wobbles in past puzzled Juan Martin del Potro for 15-15.

A long exchange from the baseline, trench warfare, and finally it is Juan Martin del Potro who blinks, bopping a backhand long. 15-30.

Andy Murray pings a vicious forehand onto Delpo's toes. 15-40.

    Two break points.

This is a game as a spectator I love.

This is what the game is all about. I think it is a 50-50 game and I can't wait for it to start.

Andy Murray comes off his stool bristling with injustice.

He rattles through a love service hold to swing the service spotlight back onto Juan Martin del Potro.

The game ends in farce. Andy Murray stops playing on a Juan Martin del Potro serve, convinced that the ball has clipped the top of the net and it should be a let.

The let machine failed to register it was such though.

Murray says that everyone could hear it and that umpire Pascal Maria should play a let anyway.

"Computer says no," says Maria (or words to that effect).

"Why don't we just start the fourth set," says Murray.

    Murray 4-6 7-5 3-4 Del Potro*

Andy Murray pitches on right up onto Juan Martin del Potro's big toes and the Argentine cranks back into the net to hand over another break point.

A wide serve that Murray would have needed to be somewhere out in the Edinburgh suburbs to return sweeps that off the table.

    On we go.

Juan Martin del Potro gifts Andy Murray 15-15 with an apology of a drop-shot that slides down the gullet of the gutter.

A choked backhand slice is another freebie for Murray and 15-30.

A big Delpo serve brings up 30-30.

Murray with a shot up the line on that yippy backhand. It solidifies under pressure. Sure, steady and onto the paint.

Break point. Delpo knocks him back with another big serve, but Murray is massing for the big haul.

Murray's match against Nishikori earlier this year was one of the best I had seen in Davis Cup, but in terms of quality this match surpasses it.

Del Potro is taking big risks on the forehand and Murray was just outplayed. The quality is staggering.

But such is the quality of Murray's returns you feel this set is still a long way from being over.

Juan Martin del Potro brings up break point with an overhead that splits the Emirates Arena air like a nail gun. 30-40.

Andy Murray is scurrying, Juan Martin del Potro's forehand is spitting fire, and finally the Scot is run out of town on the baseline.

    Advantage Argentina once again.

This is a match with more twists and turns than a epic box set series.

Andy Murray channels his frustration into sheer brilliance and wipes out Juan Martin del Potro's break by return of post.

This match is really alive and kicking. If you are not watching at the top of this page, forget data limits, ignore the boss and hit play.

What is the umpire supposed to do? He could take the line judge off the court but there is not much else he could do.

Andy Murray has gone off radar mentally since that line judge's poor call a game and a half ago.

He is still chuntering about it as he sits down a break to the bad in the third set.
