This is a personal achievement -  to hold the number one spot at the year of is a lifetime achievment, it really is something special.

He's the best in the world and deservedly so.

That was an extraordinary and dominant display.

    Murray 6-3 5-3 Djokovic*

The first point of the game lasts 33 shots. The 33rd of those was just wide from Murray. First blood Djokovic.

Djoko then looks to send Murray out wide but fails to mount the net with his forehand.

The Scot then hangs on in a rally and forces another mistake from Djoko. Out. Actually, it wasn't. The replay shows it was in.

Look if you guys aren't going to use these challenges...

Murray seals the game, after snapping his string, when Djoko returns too long.

    That was a great hold.

    Murray needs one more game.

There was always going to be a response from Djokovic. It is a similar scenario to when Murray played Raonic the other night. He just needs to hold his serve now and settle now.

Rather than sit on his one-break advantage, Murray is fighting for every point.

But he's 40-0 down. His return on the fourth point is called out and he opts not to challenge - it was actually in Andy.

Djoko wraps up. Does a twist await?

    Murray 6-3 4-2 Djokovic*

Murray's consistency regarding losing challenges remains consistent as he loses a challenge on the first point. It was out Andy.

Yet again, the Scot recovers with a winner before Djoko misjudges another return from the deep. 30-15.

That becomes 30-30 as Murray double faults once more. Is that number three?

Well, hello 30-40. Murray faces a first break point when he smacks the net.

    Djoko fans' fingers are crossed.

Their man does it as Murray fails to put enough whip on a forehand.

    One break back.
