Fine serving from Gilles Muller to open up the fifth set.

A double fault costs him a point but that's the only real hiccup on his serve as he fires down an almighty ace to hold.

  2. Konta for Bake Off?published at 18:25 British Summer Time 10 July 2017

Jo Konta's cake baking has been proving very popular at Wimbledon, maybe she's angling for a place on the next installment of celebrity bake off?

After the white chocolate and raspberry muffins went down a treat today she is vowing to bake some more - despite having to prepare for a quarter-final with Simona Halep tomorrow.

She said: "If I've got time tonight, it will be a chocolate chip and banana muffin, though I'm getting a lot of pressure to make a banana nut muffin from a certain member of my team, but I'm holding strong."

    Dimitrov 4-6 2-6 2-2 Federer

Keith Richards once said that every time he picks up the guitar he can still play something that has never been played before. Well, Roger Federer is still finding angles around Centre Court for the first time.

A top-spin winner down one line, a cushioned backhand winner into the other corner. An easy hold, made to look easy.

  4. 'The tables have turned'published at 18:22 British Summer Time 10 July 2017

    Jamie Baker
Former GB Davis Cup player on BBC Two

Nadal has been so impressive in how he's bounced back from the first hour and a quarter, he has been dominant on his serve in the fourth set, which has been a result of getting into more of Muller's service games. Nadal's felt more comfortable and confident.

Muller is in the position that Nadal was in sets one and two, the tables have turned. How can Muller regroup? The key thing for him is that when he comes back out here he has to have the belief that he can win this.

Dimitrov holds easily on that occasion as Roger Federer plays and misses at a fast wide serve...

  7. Muller flagging...published at 18:20 British Summer Time 10 July 2017

Earlier I was waffling on about that Luxembourg flag being waved about in the seats reserved for competitors' guests (see 16:32 entry).

The internet told me it was mainly used in the shipping trade. You, the great general public, have told me otherwise.

Edith Bardin has got in touch to say the red lion flag is used commonly "sports and other national events, not just vessels", adding many feel both flags represent the country equally.

There you go. Internet 0, Joe Public 1.

Either way... that flag on Court One is not being waved much at the moment. It was like a red rag to Rafa...

    Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 Muller

Look at that percentage of first serve points won by Nadal. Brilliant.

Both players have nipped off for a comfort break, which means we've all got time to make a quick brew.

Blink and you'll miss these Roger Federer service games. Sampras stuff.

He's landing 71% of first serves, and when he lands them he wins the point 86% of the time.

Centre Court may be wrapped up before the crowd on Court One have seen two matches. Roger Federer isn't here to mess about. Dimitrov holds the opener of set three though.

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

If you're going to dress like Roger Federer, be called Fed Jr, Baby Fed, Mini Fed or whatever he was called then you have to deliver. He's a good looking kid, the microscope is on you. It's been difficult for him in his career to find his own way. How does he impose his will on people?

    *Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 5-4 Muller

A reminder that the last time Rafa won after losing the first two sets was 10 years ago, in the fourth round, at Wimbledon.

There's a nice sort of symmetry at play there...

    *Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 5-4 Muller

Oh! Gilles Muller does everything right, looking to have beat Nadal with a volley, and Rafa somehow manages to hare across court and pass the ball beyond him.

Muller still has that corker of a serve out wide in his locker though, volleying over a winner, and the big man holds to force Nadal to serve for the fourth set.

  18. Game and second set Federerpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 10 July 2017

    Dimitrov 4-6 2-6 Federer

Dimitrov finds a miracle return down the line, shot of the day but Roger Federer soon has the game, and the set, sewn up.

Two sets up in exactly one hour!

    Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 5-3 Muller*

Canny from Nadal, sending Muller the wrong way as the big man goes charging up and down the baseline like a caged tiger.

Nadal makes a real meal of a backhand drop shot though, setting himself up nicely before floating the ball gently into the net.

He nails that shot on the second attempt though, Muller only able to nudge the ball wide from the top of his racquet. Nadal is a game away from forcing a fifth set...

  20. 'Painfully easy'published at 18:12 British Summer Time 10 July 2017

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

For years now I saw Grigor Dimitrov as a Grand Slam winner of the future.

Right now, belief is seeping out of my body, and I think it's seeping out of his too.

This is disappointing. It's painfully easy for Federer.
