Andy Murray will serve needing to hold to stay in the set then. Querrey knows that a break gives him a two set to one lead.

    Pressure much?

Where has this play come from?! Point of the match, no question, as both players hit stupendous cross-court shots but Murray scampers to meet it and win the point.

Querrey then loses his radar to fire a shot very long and wide indeed, but next point is a belter from him. 30-30.

Another poor slice from Murray and that's game Querrey.

  5. Two break points for Querrey...published at 14:48 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Murray 6-3 4-6 5-4 Querrey

Murray serving for the set then. Loose, tense shot from Murray as he finds the meat of the net. No real reason to miss that approach.

And Querrey walks on to a second serve to punch a shot home, 15-30 and a hint more pressure on the Murray serve.

Needs a first one in. Nets it instead. Audible gasps.

And then really tight, barely moves his feet at all to lump into the net.

    TWO BREAK POINTS

Sam Querrey is still in this set though. Again, he flies through a service game in the time it takes me to check how to spell 'raconteur.'

  8. Murray holds with superb winnerpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Murray 6-3 4-6 5-3 Querrey

Sir Ian McKellen is sitting next to Dame Maggie Smith in the Royal Box. We can't think of many better rows to be sat on at a sporting event. At any event, really.

Even their small talk must be massive.

Andy Murray probably can't match them when it comes to being a dinner-table raconteur but even as a wizard McKellen couldn't play a drop-shot winner like that.

And then a flier of a backhand down the line. The sort of shot that gets the whole of Centre Court on their feet. One game away from the set.

And we are level on Court One.

Marin Cilic was 4-2 down in the tie-break against Gilles Muller, but turned it around to win it 8-6, with a fantastic angled passing forehand bringing the match level after Muller, the 16th seed, had won set one.

Murray coughs an apologetic backhand into the net as Querrey opens up his service game, before Querrey finds steep Steve Harmison bounce from the new balls, unplayable serve!

That was ear-height. And another booming ace gives him the hold.

Murray, as we've seen so often, is showing that emotional strength. He's coping with whatever he has to and it's got him back in the driving seat. Can Querrey do the unexpected again? That would really be surprising.

    Murray 6-3 4-6 3-2 Querrey

Good shot Sam Querrey, whipping a forehand home. He's either on rhythm or he's not, and he is in this game, bringing up a hold to love in no time at all, despite a brilliant lob from Murray from beyond the baseline which lands a few inches in at the other end!

  19. An easy Murray holdpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Murray 6-3 4-6 3-1 Querrey

Murray to serve then, a break up remember, in the third set.

Querrey tries an elaborate sliced backhand of sorts and it's well wide, leaving the American to stand stock still and stare at where it landed for a good few seconds.

He then lumps a backhand well wide. Loose stuff and an easy hold.

  20. Muller & Cilic second-set tie-breakpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Muller 6-3 6-6 Cilic

No breaks of serve in set two and it means we will go to a tie-break. Will Gilles Muller move two sets up or will Marin Cilic bring us back level? We will find out very soon.

The winner of this match will play either world number one Andy Murray or American Sam Querrey.
