It's a bit of a shame because Rybarikova has had the tournament of her life but she will still go away from this thinking, well maybe I am number 84 in the world?

That was an impressive match from Garbine Muguruza.

She was really dialled in from the very first point to the last. She was on top of the baseline, aggressive with a low number of unforced errors and high number of winners. She just attacked and never let up.

She didn't give Rybarikova a chance to breath. Today Muguruza was too good.

A broad grin from Muguruza as she laps up the acclaim of Centre. Rybarikova slumps in her chair and fiddles with her ponytail. Not how the Slovak dreamt it.

"She was incredibly nervous," my Slovakian journalist friend Tomas says. "Usually she can do 200 kick ups with a tennis ball. Today she couldn't do one when she tried on the baseline."

GARBINE MUGURUZA REACHES THE WIMBLEDON FINAL.

The Spaniard brings up three match points.

The first is saved, but she once again comes out on top in a rally - moving in, seeking a deep winner which Rybarikova can only send back to the netting.

    That lasted 65 minutes.

Muguruza is really not wasting any energy today. She will leave this match feeling very comfortable and ready to start the final on Saturday.

    Muguruza 6-1 5-1 Rybarikova

    Jonathan Jurejko

Muguruza is blowing Rybarikova off the court. The Slovak is being pinned back well behind the baseline by the strong Spaniard, her feet so far back her shoe soles are regularly treading green grass rather than bare brown patches.

  7. Muguruza on verge of finalpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 13 July 2017

    Muguruza 6-1 5-1 Rybarikova*

Tennis legend Conchita Martinez, who is coaching Muguruza, looks pretty content sitting among the coaches and family - and so she should be. Her player is set for a return to the Wimbledon final.

It's 40-0. That run to hold is temporarily halted with a fruitful well-dictated rally by Rybarikova.

But the inevitable cannot be halted.

    Game Muguruza.

One more game for the Spaniard. One more game.

  8. 'Tactics wrong for Rybarikova'published at 14:09 British Summer Time 13 July 2017

I don't think tactically Rybarikova has played a very good match today.

    *Muguruza 6-1 4-1 Rybarikova

It's advantage Muguruza - it seems inevitable.

But no, this time it's Rybarikova who dictates the rally, coming to the net to force a mistake from Muguruza.

The 2015 finalist has another break point, but it's saved again. This is gutsy from Rybarikova.

Deuce again and game Rybarikova with a good serve at the body which Muguruza can only return into the net.

They've just cut to Dame Shirley Bassey picking some food item out of what looked like a policeman's helmet.

And there's a shot of musical queen Elaine Paige.

This is far from a game of chess (that's an Elaine Paige joke).

  10. 'Everything going right for Muguruza'published at 14:06 British Summer Time 13 July 2017

    Mary Pierce
Former French Open champion on BBC Radio 5 live

Muguruza is just relentless. She is taking it early and moving her opponent from side to side.

It is a great feeling when you're on it and nothing goes wrong.

A lob that came off - take a bow Magdalena.

Sympathetic and slightly condescending applause from the crowd.

    30-0.

Now 40-15 and.... game point. OK, that's me with backhanded praise.

Muguruza once again wrong-foots her opponent with a stunning double-handed backhand from the back.

A temporary reprieve with the vid tech is followed by another dash to the net which pays dividends for Muguruza - annoying isn't she Mags?

    Deuce.

    And there's more...

British wheelchair men's singles defending champion Gordon Reid was knocked out of the first round by Stefan Olsson earlier on.

    Muguruza 6-1 4-0 Rybarikova*

On this form Muguruza looks too good for anyone, even a heavily-pregnant Serena Williams.

She wins another point by coming to the net - that's an 80% success rate, which is GCSE 'A' grade territory.

    It's 30-15.

Now 40-15 after yet again hitting her corner with a shot from the baseline. She knows her angles - fancy the Crucible Garbine?

    Game Muguruza.

    Muguruza 6-1 2-0 Rybarikova*

Rybarikova has a languid style, but maybe she needs to be a little less languid.

She approaches the net for a return but bends down for the ball like she's 90 with a back problem.

The Spaniard holds and is set for the final.

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Magdalena Rybarikova is the first Slovak to reach a Wimbledon semi-final. Understandably interest is high back home.

Slovakian journalist Tomas Tancibok arrived in London late last night after his newspaper managed to get him accreditation.

"Everyone is thrilled about her success," he says. "People know about her because she has played in the Fed Cup for many years, although she is not as popular as Dominika Cibulkova.

"She has struggled with injury so she deserves this.

"Now she has a game on the board she will settle down. I hope."

  20. Can Rybarikova turn it around?published at 13:49 British Summer Time 13 July 2017

    Tracy Austin
Former Wimbledon mixed doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 live

It is tough to see if Muguruza keeps up this style of play and plays this solidly.

Rybarikova has come into the net and had some success and she has tried to bring Muguruza in.

To me it seems Rybarikova is feeling rushed. Maybe mix it up with a few more slices.
