    Vekic is rushing her shots and her serve.

    Another double fault and she falls back to 15-40, offering Konta a couple of break points.

    The Briton doesn't take her chance though and somehow Vekic gets to deuce.

    The Croatian battles to hold this service game, saving more break points as the game swings back and forth.

    She saves a fourth break point and finally holds. That could be an important game for the 20-year-old.

    But at 30-30, Vekic hits a forehand wide and is furious with herself, slapping her racket against her foot.

    Johanna Konta was the top seed in Nottingham and the world number eight's route to the final saw her beat Tara Moore, Yanina Wickmayer, Ashleigh Barty and Magdalena Rybarikova.

    Konta's only previous encounter with Vekic was at the Cincinnati Masters last August, with the Brit winning in straight sets.

    Standing in Konta's way is 20-year-old Donna Vekic.

    The Croatian is ranked 70 in the world and is searching for her second WTA title.

    She's also yet to get past the third round of a Grand Slam.

    On route to the final this week she has beaten Julia Boserup, Shelby Rogers, Maria Sakkari and Lucie Safarova.

    Speaking about her opponent, Konta told Eurosport: "She is a player who has been playing well recently, she is not an easy opponent, she is coming in with good momentum, it will be a tough one."
