    Djokovic v Dimitrov

Novak Djokovic has also had his own struggles as he continues his return from an elbow injury.

He spoke about skipping the grass-court season following his French Open quarter-final defeat by Marco Cecchinato, but he opted to play at Queen's for the first time in eight years.

He lost in the third round back in 2010 but made a strong start to this year's tournament with a 6-2 6-1 win over Australia's John Millman.

    Djokovic v Dimitrov

Grigor Dimitrov has not had the happiest 2018.

He won the ATP Tour Finals at the end of last season and reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, before being beaten by Kyle Edmund.

He overcame Damir Dzumhur 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 in the first round and he has a good record at Queen's, winning the title in 2014 and reaching the semi-finals last year.

    Kyrgios 7-6 (7-3) 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 Edmund

Nick Kyrgios, speaking to BBC Sport: "I knew today was going to be tough. Kyle's had a great year. He's got a lot of firepower and I knew it was going to be tough. It was a great battle.

"I haven't played too many matches in the past couple of months. Serving for a match of this value is not easy and I'm happy to get through it.

Have you ever served better than that?: "Yeah, I have! I was struggling to read his serve. It was a high quality match."

That was an absolute barrage of serving from Nick Kyrgios.

He finishes with 32 (THIRTY TWO!) aces to Edmund's 11. Kyrgios only faced one break point in the entire match, and that was in the final game.

    Terrific stuff from the Australian.

Kyrgios almost takes a tumble over the advertising boards and says something that I probably can't repeat, before immediately apologising to the nearby spectators.

It's 40-15 to Edmund, but the Brit picks an inopportune moment to double fault.

Kyrgios guides a forehand into the net, though, and Edmund holds.
