Here's some interesting news. Former world number one Amelie Mauresmo is to become France's first female Davis Cup captain.

Mauresmo was the first woman to coach a leading male player when appointed by Britain's three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray in 2014. The pair worked together for two years and Mauresmo later took charge of France's Fed Cup team.

"I am thinking of Andy because without him I would not be here today," the 38-year-old said on Saturday.

"He had confidence in me when others thought that it was an aberration."

French tennis federation (FFT) president Bernard Giudicelli described the decision as "completely groundbreaking".

Jeremy Chardy might be less heralded but the experienced Frenchmen is wily.

At 40-0 he thinks his first serve is out, but neither the umpire nor the line judge call it and Novak Djokovic hits a return winner.

Chardy chuckles to himself and asks for it to be reviewed by the video technology. His instincts are right and the ball is deemed out.

With his second serve he wins the point and the game. Much guffawing among the crowd at Queen's

Because Marin Cilic has that wingspan he has strength in forehand and backhand. Someone like Nick Kyrgios has to serve unbelievably well against a player like that. He is almost the complete all-round player now.

After reaching the final at Queen's Marin Cilic told BBC Sport: "It's so special to play here. I've played great tennis throughout this week and have another shot at the title.

Nick is serving so good so it was tough from both ends, so tough to get any break points. I was maybe a bit more lucky in those situations and composed.

It’s going to be a great match between Novak and Jeremy. I’ll be ready for the final, I'm definitely going to give my best for a trophy."

I thought Marin Cilic was brilliant. We thought it would go to tie-breaks and you hoped it would be won by some brilliance. But it was won by Cilic just being solid. It was a good match but it didn't hit the heights we hoped for.
