  7. Tie-breakpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 23 June 2018

    Cilic 6-6 Kyrgios

More brutal serves from Nick Kyrgios - even on his second serve - as he holds his service game to love. Almost inevitably we have a tie-break - Cilic to serve first.

    Cilic 6-5 Kyrgios

Virtually flawless from Marin Cilic as eases through on his serve with a clinical service game. Can he break Nick Kyrgios' serve now and take the first set?

    Cilic 5-5 Kyrgios

A flicker of a chance for Marin Cilic at 30-30, but Nick Kyrgios rises to the challenge and takes the 10th game.

The Aussie does so after possibly the best rally of the match. Having sent Cilic scampering to the corner with a sliced backhand Kyrgios climbs high at the net to caress a volley into the empty court. He almost stumbles into the net before just regaining his footing at the crucial moment.

    Cilic 4-4 Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios does his best to entertain the crowd at least. The Aussie serves three aces then wins the point at 40-0 with a shot between his legs advancing to the net.

    Cilic 4-3 Kyrgios

We are getting through these service games in rapid time. Marin Cilic sends down a huge ace to win the seventh game of the match.

There's also a bit of cursing from Nick Kyrgios after a miscued return. Any children sat on the front row at Queen's might see their parents tell them to put soundproof ear muffs on.

  15. Postpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 23 June 2018

    Cilic 3-3 Kyrgios

There's not been many rallies to excite the crowd at Queen's so far. Big, bashing, brutal serves are the order of the day.

However, at 30-15 on Nick Kyrgios' serve one threatens to break out and the Aussie wins the point with a eye-catching passing shot.

It is quickly back to type, though, as Kyrgios closes out the game with a couple of big serves to remain on level terms.

    Cilic 3-2 Kyrgios

Fair to say not everyone is a fan of the maverick Aussie then...

Marin Cilic wins a service game to love with the minimum of fuss. Not much to choose between the two players so far - a case of who will blink first on their serve by the looks of things.

    Cilic 2-2 Kyrgios

On the Nick Kyrgios serve at 30-15, Marin Cilic advances to the net in search of a volleyed winner but having got himself into a good position the 6ft 6in Croatian fluffs it. Kyrgios goes on to take the game.

    Cilic 2-1 Kyrgios

A beautiful backhand from deep in the court sees Marin Cilic win a stylish point at 30-15 before he serves an ace to close out the game. A clinical start from the Croatian.

  20. Postpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 23 June 2018

    Cilic 1-1 Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios continues his approach in the tournament and leaves nothing in the locker with his powerful serve. Marin Cilic can only take one point off him as the Aussie breezes through his first service game.
