That has to be a welcome relief for Vondrousova.
She has to remind herself she has plenty of time - there's a lot of tennis to be played. We know how well she can play. It should now be a more competitive match.
These two have the youngest combined age (42) of two female Grand Slam finalists since the 2008 French Open when Ivanovic beat Dinara Safina.
The pair have met twice before in tour-level matches, with Barty not dropping a set in victories on the grass in Birmingham in 2017 and the Cincinnati hard court last year.

Marketa Vondrousova made a nervy start against Johanna Konta yesterday and lost the first 10 points - and it has been a similar tale here.
This time she won three points in the opening three games, but then went on a run of losing seven straight points.
An encouraging cheer greeted her ending that sequence for 15-30, but it still wasn't enough to stop the teenage Czech going a double break down.

This is Vondrousova's first time on Chatrier - there is a lot to get used to. She is dealing with a lot. There was also the delay because of the late finish of the men's semi-final.
The nerves don't go away - you have to manage them.

The Australian wins the next point, but Vondrousova regains her composure to make it 30-30.

This final is perhaps an unlikely line-up, but shows how open women's tennis is at the moment.
Barty, 23, who quit tennis to play cricket in 2014, described reaching a Slam final as "crazy".
After becoming the first teenage Grand Slam finalist since 2009, Vondrousova said: "It is the best week of my life."
