    *Sousa 6-0 6-3 4-5 Jubb

Some great late entertainment on court 17. This is a teenager, who has only ever beaten one player in the top 100, who is still at college and is facing a former top-30 player.

But Jubb holds his serve. He needs to take four points off the Sousa serve to take the set.

  4. Sousa with a break backpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 6-3 3-4 Jubb

Sousa is not giving up this set though. That could be a massive break. Jubb would've jumped to a 5-2 lead, now we're back on serve in the third set at 3-4.

    Sousa 6-0 6-3 2-4 Jubb*

    Katie Falkingham

A HUGE roar as Jubb breaks Sousa for a second time. There are hundreds and hundreds of people watching on little Court 17.

And nobody wants to move, either! So many people are queueing to get a seat, but they’ve got no chance.

  6. Jubb breakspublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Sousa 6-0 6-3 2-4 Jubb*

Chance for Paul Jubb to instantly reclaim an advantage, and he does. Great character. An excellent double-handed backhand return down the line sends Sousa on the stretch and he can only then send it into the bottom of the net.

  7. 'Trailblazer'published at 19:29 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 6-3 2-3 Jubb

    Andrew Castle

Joao Sousa is a real trailblazer for Portuguese tennis and he's showed his experience there to break back.

  8. Sousa breaks backpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 6-3 2-3 Jubb

The 3-0 lead that Paul Jubb had no so long ago has been whittled away and we're back on serve.

  10. Highlights: Tomic v Tsongapublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

A bad day at the office for Bernard Tomic. Destroyed in only 58 minutes by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Here's the best (or worst) of it below.

  11. Postpublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 6-3 0-3 Jubb

Paul Jubb is now where a lot of the attention is focused. It's a packed court 17, with people watching on as well from gangways, other courts and every available spot. They are witnessing a gutsy third set from Paul Jubb. Remember, he lost the opener 6-0 but is now 3-0 up himself in the third.

  13. Jubb breakspublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Sousa 6-0 6-3 0-2 Jubb*

Well played. Well played. For the first time in his life Paul Jubb has broken his opponent's serve at Wimbledon. At two sets down it is an awful long way back, but that's the first step.

  14. 'Jubb strong at the net'published at 19:15 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 6-3 0-1 Jubb

    Miles Maclagan
Former British Davis Cup player at Wimbledon

Paul Jubb has looked good when he's come to the net.

He'll have played a lot of doubles on the college circuit which obviously helps with your net-game.

  15. Dart flies into second roundpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Dart 4-6 6-4 6-4 McHale

Harriet Dart was another British winner earlier on as she fought back from losing the first set to knock out America's Christina McHale. Dart takes on Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia in the next round after she eliminated 2017 champion Garbine Muguruza.

  16. 'Jubb makes Sousa sweat'published at 19:11 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Sousa 6-0 6-3 0-0 Jubb*

    Miles Maclagan
Former British Davis Cup player at Wimbledon

Paul Jubb had a better set there. He made Joao Sousa sweat, he made him work hard for it.

You can see why Jubb has had success at college level in the US. But at the moment he just lacks a few weapons to hurt an opponent at this level.

  17. Game and second set - Sousapublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Sousa 6-0 6-3 0-0 Jubb*

A much improved Paul Jubb compared to his opening set, but that break in the previous game is the defining moment as Sousa holds his serve in the next game to double his overall advantage.

  18. ‘Let’s go’published at 19:07 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 5-3 Jubb

    Katie Falkingham
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Jubb is finding his feet here, fighting for every point. He’s frequently muttering to himself, psyching himself up. Every so often, he cries “let’s go!”

He’s got some big shots in his armoury too.

His gran, meanwhile, is loving this. She’s sat on the same side of the court as me but I caught a glimpse of her earlier and she had the biggest grin on her face.

  19. 'Sousa's had the answers'published at 19:07 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Sousa 6-0 5-3 Jubb

    Andrew Castle
BBC Sport tennis commentator at Wimbledon

Joao Sousa seems to have had the answers to any questions Paul Jubb has posed right from the start in this match.

  20. Sousa breakspublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

Paul Jubb has this set shown he belongs on this stage and is fighting hard. But, after saving some break points, the relentless pressure from Joao Sousa eventually pays off and he breaks, now serving for the set.
