Why wouldn't fans want to see Bautista keep the game going longer by winning a set - or even God forbid cause an upset and reach the final? Baffles me how that is seen as disrespecting Novak.

    Daniel

I've never understood any dislike aimed at Djokovic. He's full of charisma and is an entertaining fighter on the court - isn't that what being a sports star is all about?!

The drop shot is becoming Djokovic's trump card. But his stunning defence is not enough to move 30-0 up as Bautista Agut pulls off an overhead volley.

Djoko then slips behind the baseline but another volley draws him level at 30-30...

Bautista Agut is always there or there abouts during the rest of the year, and that goes in to why we see a performance like this today.

It's been gripping. There's always going to be a doubt over whether you can get under Djokovic's skin and give him a match - but we genuinely don't know how this one will end up.

Beautifully done again at net. Novak was able to get through that game and keep the pressure on his opponent.

In typical Djokovic fashion, he drives into the net and puts pressure on Bautista Agut. But a few moments later he double-faults. 30-30.

The Serb regathers himself and brings up 40-30 before holding when Bautista Agut's forehand drops wide.

The smaller show court has been opened so fans can watch the men’s semi-finals on the big screen.

An absolute sun trap is this place. As the tan line on the back of my neck - where my accreditation lanyard has been - testifies. No seats in the shade here.

Bez Berry: I love Novak going after the crowd a bit. Massive cheers for his opponent, why shouldn’t he give a little back.

Mark Le Huray: Djoko is a great tennis player his will to win is second to none but for someone who is supposed to be arrogant is always willing to applause a great shot against him and will concede points if he thinks a ball is in and there is no hawkeye.

Doctor Joker: It's sad how the British public gives no respect to Djokovic, who is a 4-times Wimbledon champion.

Sonjahaha: Racing home from work myself now, on the train, keep refreshing the page, hoping Bautista-Agut gets the best & most out of Djoko as well, but not just because of Fedal. I’m always for the underdog! Especially against a guy that lacks respect!
