It's been very, very tight. Federer really upped his game in the tie break and he'll be delighted to have that first set under his belt.

The early stages of this second set are going to be vital for both players. Federer will sense the opportunity to take a commanding lead.

An understated, underarm shake of the fist from Roger 'Iceman' Federer. That's when you know this is serious stuff.

Every time I look across at David Beckham in the Royal Box from our position high above Centre Court, he's leaning forward and totally engrossed in the show before him.

Eldest son Brooklyn was supposed to be with him today but I've seen no sign of him so far. Does he realise what he is missing?

You will need every ounce of concentration if you're to win this semi-final.

A brief vocal battle of the boxes there. The Nadal Squad rally their man first with freestyle arm waving before Da Fed Crew respond by dropping some beats themselves.

Pretty much like their respective front men it was hard to separate them.

Da Fed Crew is not going to last two minutes in a Federer branding brainstorm.

Rafa started slightly better than Roger but as the set went on, Roger got better and better at returning serve. That was the difference in the tie-break.

Roger Federer's return, picking on the Nadal backhand, is getting traction. The Swiss thwacks away a winner to go a mini-break up.

He puts away the smash on his own first service point to consolidate.

I was really intrigued how calm Roger Federer was when he walked out.

He has a very calm demeanor, but he knows things are heating up. He plays his best when he lets his tennis do the talking and doesn't allow himself to get too emotional.

The camera managed to find someone NOT watching the match. Astonishing!

Daniel Slavin: The child reading and anyone with him on Wimbledon Centre Court should be forcibly removed immediately.

Aditya Thakkar: Here's something I never thought I'd say. Cmon kid, put the book down. You're witnessing it live!!

Alan Smith: Boring tennis. I'm going to read my book! Gorgeous.
