*Konta 4-5 Jabeur
Zinger. A slow second serve from Johanna Konta is rifled back past her by Ons Jabeur.
Set point.
*Konta 4-5 Jabeur
Ons Jabeur fires a return back with interest and Johanna Konta can only skittle her forehand into the tramlines. Jabeur then overcooks from a baseline rally. 30-30.

As usual in Melbourne, there are plenty of 'Poms' in the house.
A few Union Jacks were wafted in the air when the British number one earned her first break point of the match.
The flags can also handily be used as blankets to keep the morning chill off goosebumped legs.
*Konta 4-5 Jabeur
Johanna Konta, serving to stay in the opening set...
The 12th seed gets the better of the opening exchange but then double faults. 15-15.
*Konta 4-5 Jabeur
Just a little too eager from Johanna Konta there, right shot but wrong execution as her forehand drifts long and Ons Jabeur scrambles back to hold.
Konta 4-4 Jabeur*
The British number one can't take it... she goes stretching for a backhand and can't lift it high enough to clear the tape.
Konta 4-4 Jabeur*
Ons Jabeur sticks some extra oomph into her serve and that sees Johanna Konta pat long.
The Tunisian follows up with a double fault.
Break point Konta.

We're starting to see the Jo we are used to, the one-two punches, a few less errors.
Konta 4-4 Jabeur*
Here we go...
Konta clicking into action, taking the mini break once more at 0-30.
Konta 4-4 Jabeur*
Good stuff from Johanna Konta as she crunches through the gears to generate another hold. It remains on serve in the opening set.

Jabeur has just got these incredible hands, she can just bring it from anywhere in the court.
*Konta 3-4 Jabeur
That's wonderful from Ons Jabeur, eyeing the ball on the baseline, lining up a top spin forehand but instead cutting across the fluff to drop it just over the tape. Inch perfect. 30-30.
*Konta 3-4 Jabeur
Oof. Ons Jabeur skids a return into the base and it rebounds her way, before she boots it off court - great strike.
Right on the money from Johanna Konta to slap a forehand winner down the line for 30-15.

It will be interesting to see who gets the first break, who pushes themselves a bit more. I wonder if Jo has the chance to bring a bit more. She isn't match tight yet.
*Konta 3-4 Jabeur
A good hold for Ons Jabeur from 0-30 down.
Jonathan Jurejko

We spoke about Jabeur's variety, but we know Johanna Konta likes to throw in a dropshot.
A perfectly-executed one helps her hold to love, the first service game where the Brit hasn't been under pressure.
Konta 3-3 Jabeur*
Johanna Konta gets to grip with the Tunisian's serve for the first time and edges to 0-30 - that's more points than she took on it in the previous three service games.
But Ons Jabeur isn't about to give up the break easily, a hammer of a backhand that skids off just inside the line. 30-30.

Jo is doing well to hold here, she's not getting flustered.
Konta 3-3 Jabeur*
Johanna Konta looks like she's growing into this first set, a little change of pace from the British number one leaves Ons Jabeur swinging at thin air in a bid to reach a deft slice.
Jabeur thinks she's caught the baseline with a forehand but Konta will challenge, and that's long. She holds to love.

Jo is hitting more unforced errors than we're used to. She usually prefers a cross-court forehand but she is playing more to the backhand.
