He couldn't take the title though, losing to Australian Pat Rafter 6-3 6-2 4-6 7-5.

I'd have Sakkari nailed on for the top 10. She has a fantastic game, the shots are all there. She's definitely somebody who is prepared to do whatever it takes.

A terrible start to their men's doubles quarter-final for Brits Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski as they fall 6-2 in the opening set against Croatia's Mate Pavic and Murray's former doubles partner - Bruno Soares of Brazil.

This match is racing along. Not even 50 minutes and already game three of set two, but this game has a lot more life in it as it's deuce on the Sakkari serve.

If she gets broken her this could well be the beginning of the end.

The serve has been such a huge part of Williams' game through the years. It's so tough to read. It's all in the last second in the wrist as to where she hits the ball.

    Sakkari 3-6 Williams

    Naomi Cavaday

It's a really calm and controlled performance from Williams. I haven't seen Sakkari hurt her at all. The power from Williams has been keeping her pinned back.

Sakkari has got to try and do something different. She's going to have to take a few more risks.
