Marton Fucsovics looks a different player. He leaps high to meet an attempted Novak Djokovic lob with an overhead winner, but the poker-faced Djokovic cranks through the gears before double faulting. He gets over the line with a snappy forehand.

Shapovalov has definitely picked it up this year. He's playing very solid tennis.

He has more bite and weight on his shots, I think he's a lot more confident with his shot seletion and he has impoved his transition - in getting up to the net.

He still can hit the ball hard, but it was all or nothing before.

Khachanov, slightly under threat at 15-30, is let off the hook by Shapovalov who skews wide of the mark.

I think Fucsovics for the first five games was playing the name, not the player.

Now he is playing who is on the opposite side of the net, and now we have a better tennis match.

Nothing to separate Khachanov and Shapovalov in the third set so far.

This is the moment the Russian levelled things up by taking the second.

Denis Shapovalov cruises to 40-0 on his serve but a really nicely worked point by Khachanov has his opponent scampering around the court, before the Russian puts him out of his misery.

A ninth ace for Shapovalov confirms the game. 2-1.

Lovely volleyed winner from Novak Djokovic at the net, seeing the opportunity and chasing it down. His attempt at a drop shot on the next sits up though, and Marton Fucsovics meets it with a whipped forehand winner.
