Djokovic is two-thirds of the way towards his 41st semi-final.
Fucsovics just blinked at the key moments.

The first roar of the afternoon from Novak Djokovic. Not quite as blood-curdling as we've heard in the past from the top seed, but he certainly demonstrates what this means to him.
*Khachanov 4-6 6-3 6-5 Shapovalov
That could be very, very costly indeed for Denis Shapovalov.
Despite a heroic dive at the net, Shapovalov can't send the ball back in play on the opening point of his service game, and the ball drops wide as the Canadian clips the net for 0-30.
A real opportunity for Khachanov on Shapovalov's second serve goes begging - but he manages to take the 10th seed to deuce.
Groans ring around Court One as a terribly timed double fault hands over a break point... Taken! All of a sudden, Khachanov will serve for the set.
Djokovic 6-3 6-4 Fucsovics
No messing this time from the top seed! Novak Djokovic rattles down a punchy serve to take the second set.
*Djokovic 6-3 5-4 Fucsovics
Long from the Hungarian, who slaps his racquet in frustration. He knows that was a big chance.
Novak Djokovic nonchalantly dices a drop backhand narrowly over the tape and anchors it down on his opponent's seed for set point.
*Djokovic 6-3 5-4 Fucsovics
The double faults are catching, Novak Djokovic plods down one of his own to make it three apiece.
And now a hint of a chance for Marton Fucsovics to hit back immediately at 15-30.

During that long rally, Centre Court was ready to pop like one of champagne corks we were talking about earlier.
All that pressure exploded when Fucsovics saved the first break point.
Djokovic didn't take kindly to that, judging by his behaviour after taking the second.
Glaring to one side of court, the brooding Serb skips around 180 degrees and does the same to the other, while side-shuffling back to his chair.
He didn't say anything. He didn't have to.
Khachanov 4-6 6-3 5-5 Shapovalov*
On we go in the third set.
Khachanov is clear at 40-15 but invites some pressure with a net shot.
Fortunately for him, Shapovalov hits long.

After all that effort to get himself back in the game, one error and the five-time champion gets the break.
That is a very slow pensive walk from the Hungarian to the net.
*Djokovic 6-3 5-4 Fucsovics
And this time Novak Djokovic takes the break, at such a crucial time in the set. The top seed skips back to his chair, he's one game away from a two-set lead.
Djokovic 6-3 4-4 Fucsovics*
What a nervy point! You could feel the tension scurrying through every stroke... Novak Djokovic might have challenged one backhand that must have just nibbled the chalk, and Marton Fucsovics eventually takes it. Deuce. Oh no! Another double fault... break point for the top seed once more.
*Khachanov 4-6 6-3 4-5 Shapovalov
Denis Shapovalov makes light work on serve.
A blistering 10th ace moves the 22-year-old to within one game of the third set.
Over to you, Karen Khachanov.
Djokovic 6-3 4-4 Fucsovics*
Corr. That's the sort of bounce you see down your local park court, Novak Djokovic couldn't help but smile as the ball stopped almost dead in front of him.
Marton Fucsovics knocks down a double fault but responds with a wrist-rattling serve for 30-30. Only to then go long... break point Djokovic.

Delicately balanced is this second set. Fucsovics is finding a bit more punch with his serves, with Djokovic's returning stats dipping as a result.
Djokovic puts the pressure back onto Fucsovics with hold to love - the first one of the set.
Khachanov 4-6 6-3 4-4 Shapovalov*
Big moments in the match on Court One.
