    It is very easy, when you have the start that Raducanu did, to panic. But in some ways it looks like Rogers is in that place now. She's not sure what to do with her game and she's being pushed around. This match has turned on its head and it's Raducanu who is able to power the ball and rush Rogers. The silence is deafening at times.

    She wins sets in that kind of way. She doesn't back off and I don't know if it's her age or the players she's playing against, or whether she is just fearless, but it is really impressive.

    But she absolutely thrashes a forehand return! Wow! What a shot. She's got the first set in the bag.

    It wouldn't surprise me if she becomes British number one by this time next year, even perhaps by the grass court season. Her level has just shot through the roof since she's been out in the US.

    Rogers is getting more frustrated out there as she pulls a forehand into the net. 30-15 to the Briton.

    Raducanu is constantly thinking out there. She was almost 3-0 down but there was no panic. She's been making Rogers play more shots. The tactics have changed.

    Raducanu's energy level has just changed. She's on her toes, bouncing up and down between points. I wonder if she was trying to steady her nerves when she first came out.

    Raducanu is clenching her fist with every point won. She's 30-0 up on Rogers' serve with the American just pulling her forehand.

    Then suddenly the Briton has three break points!

    She really is getting more pumped. The Briton storms to 30-0 but Rogers moves into the net to swat away a forehand.

    Raducanu gets the better of Rodgers in a baseline rally and holds with a wide serve.
