It's a bit of lull at the moment, as it always is when a players goes two breaks up. It looks a bit predictable from here. Nadal is trying to close out, he doesn't want to make a mistake and wants to keep the door closed. Tsitsipas is down.

I've run out of ideas for Tsitsipas. I don't know what he can do. He can't play him from the baseline, it makes sense to try and attack Nadal at the net - and he keeps getting past.

I feel sorry for him. He's a great player and he's being taken to the cleaners by Nadal.

Stefanos Tsitsipas thinks he's forced Rafael Nadal too deep but somehow the 20-time Grand Slam champ digs out a forehand winner from almost in the Rod Laver locker rooms.

I think Tsitsipas needs to threaten Nadal: move, jump around, do something. He has got to hit a winner now.

    *Nadal 6-3 2-1 Tsitsipas

Well, another error from Nadal as he jabs into the baseline. A slightly slower ball from the so-far furious Tsitsipas? He has the mini-break at 15-30. But Nadal cranks through the gears and fires down an ace to claw his way back to 40-30.

Tsitsipas has just ripped three backhands crosscourt and what was it for? Nadal changes the direction and whips an open stance forehand, changing the direction from crosscourt to down the line. Without question it was going to be a winner. Magnificent.
