That was a really important game for Emma Raducanu to get through just to alleviate some of the tension.

A few empty seats dotted around Court One but those that are sat comfortably in place are enjoying an engaging tussle between Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz and Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff.
Struff is closing in on a two-set-to-one lead having also taken the opener, but some fine serving by Alcaraz ensures he’ll have to hold his nerve on serve.
*Davidovich Fokina 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 5-7 2-6 2-2 Hurkacz
Hubert Hurkacz did have a break of serve but that advantage only lasts for a few minutes as Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the world number 37, instantly breaks back to get us back on serve in the decider on Court Three.
Garcia 4-5 Miyazaki*
Yuriko Miyazaki has made a cracking start over on Court 17.
Miyazaki, one of a number of British wildcards at SW19, has saved three break points before converting one of her own against the in-form Caroline Garcia of France.
She'll be serving for the set very shortly...

You can see what Emma is trying to do - be more proactive with her shots and be on the offence - missing a bit too much but she is trying to create more.
Still, the execution of the shots needs to be perfected more.
*Van Uytvanck 1-1 Raducanu
There it is!
Raducanu lands another lovely drop shot and Van Uytvanck sprints forwards but can't quite get there in time to get the ball over the net.
How have we only seen two games so far? Feels like we're halfway through the set.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*
Van Uytvanck spinds her backhand wide and Raducanu saves another one.
This game has been going on for 10 minutes already.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*
Another break point for Van Uytvanck and yet again Raducanu pulls it back to deuce.
The Belgian sets up one more chance for a break though... It's all a bit nervy on Centre so far.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*
Raducanu is so fired up for this. She congratulates herself more loudly than anyone else in the crowd after a lovely drop shot. If you can't love yourself...
Unfortunately her forehand goes wide on the next point and it's back to deuce again.
Davidovich Fokina 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 5-7 2-6 1-2 Hurkacz*
Over on Court Three, seventh seed Hubert Hurkacz is having to dig deep but is now a break of serve ahead in the final set.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was two sets up, had three match points and, unless he can turn this around, may well be having a sleepless night later on.
Hurkacz four holds of serve away from victory.
*Struff 6-4 5-7 4-3 Alcaraz
Good stuff from Struff!
The German gets ahead with a break thanks to some fine tennis, capped off by a thumping forehand that's out of Alcaraz's reach to take the game.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*
Alison van Uytvanck's shot goes into the net. Raducanu's mum smiles in the crowd. Onwards.

Break point Van Uytvanck.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*
"Come on!" shouts Emma Raducanu as Alison van Uytvanck's forehand goes wide.
It seems to be a rallying cry for the crowd, who are reminded of their role and respond with cheers.
Unfortunately, the Belgian's next forehand is whipped on a lovely angle out of Raducanu's reach. Deuce.
Ruud 7-6 (7-1) 7-6 (11-9) 6-2 Ramos-Vinolas
French Open finalist Casper Ruud is through to the second round at Wimbledon for the first time.
Ruud had gone out in the first round on his previous two appearances but the third seed has made reasonably light work of Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*
Alison van Uytvanck's backhand slice lands in the mid-court and catches Raducanu off-guard.
The Brit can't get there in time and falls 0-15 down before Van Uytvanck taps the ball into the net for 15-15.
The Belgian goes wide next but a double fault from Raducanu makes it 30-30.
Van Uytvanck 1-0 Raducanu*

We talked about the pressure Emma Raducanu might feel but I don't think she is seeing a very comfortable opponent with so many errors already from Alison Van Uytvanck

We'll see a lot about Emma Raducanu's nerves in this first game. She has got to be feeling the tensions - it's her first time on Centre Court.
Van Uytvanck v Raducanu
Raducanu’s Centre Court debut may be made trickier by the fact she is yet to settle on a permanent coach.
After her run to the Wimbledon fourth round last year, she swapped Nigel Sears for Andrew Richardson.
Richardson’s contract was not renewed after the US Open win and Torben Beltz stepped in in November.
Raducanu parted ways with Beltz in April and has been working with the LTA’s head of women’s coaching Iain Bates since then. Former youth coach Jane O'Donoghue is also in Raducanu's box today.
