  1. Ram/Salisbury break backpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    *Ram/Salisbury 6-3 7-6 (7-1) 4-4 Ebden/Purcell

A mixture of luck and brilliance gets Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram back on serve in the third set on Court One.

A double fault from Max Purcell gifts them break point and a mis-hit return from Ram then catches the line to put the top seeds in command before a Salisbury volley seals it.

The Brit and American are two games from the men's doubles final.

    Jabeur 6-2 3-6 5-0 Maria*

Tajana Maria has had such an impressive tournament, she deserves at least one hold of serve in this final set.

But who knows, maybe a big comeback is just around the corner?

She picks up her game again with a few powerful shots before coming to the net and batting a backhand volley to go 30-0 up.

I don't know what happened in the second set because Ons Jabeur was cruising along in the first set, playing comfortable and confident.

Tatjana Maria just played her game and threw Jabeur off a bit. Going into the third it looked like Jabeur just said I've just got to go for it and play aggressive, her unforced error tally is down. She's a completely different player from the second set.

  4. Jabeur one game awaypublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 6-2 3-6 5-0 Maria*

Tatjana Maria bends over and holds her head in her hands as she misses her shot to go 0-40 down on Jabeur's serve.

Ons Jabeur gives her a bit of a reprieve with a double fault, but Maria whips a forehand way wide to bring the game to an end.

Jabeur is one game away from her first Grand Slam final.

A catastrophe. It wasn't the time for Tatjana Maria to produce a shot like that.

  6. Jabeur breaks againpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    *Jabeur 6-2 3-6 4-0 Maria

Tatjana Maria hangs in there but Ons Jabeur keeps reeling her back to deuce.

Eventually the German cracks as her forehand goes wide to bring up break point, then she sends a smash way long to go two breaks down.

It would be very hard to get back from here for Maria.

That was very important for Tatjana Maria - sometimes when you get a double break point it just gives you that push that you need.

  8. Maria saves break pointpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 6-2 3-6 3-0 Maria*

It's nervy stuff, but Maria saves the break point.

She brings Jabeur into the net, tries to lob her but the ball doesn't quite go high enough. Jabeur can't get her backhand smash down safely, though, and we're at deuce.

Two breaks down would have surely been game over.

  9. Break point Jabeurpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 6-2 3-6 3-0 Maria*

Tatjana Maria kneels down and bangs the floor with her hands in frustration.

She was unable to get to Ons Jabeur's drop-shot and gives the Tunisian a look at 15-30.

Maria soon gets things back on track at 30-30, but a beautiful cross-court winner from Jabeur gives her another break point.

If you're just dropping in, both players are out to make history here.

Ons Jabeur is bidding to be the first Arab to reach a Grand Slam final, while Tatjana Maria could be the first mother of two to win Wimbledon in the Open Era if she makes it all the way.

Jabeur's level dropped slightly after she took the first set and that's why we find ourselves in a decider.

No such danger of that now, it seems, as she claims a swift hold to back up that break.

Ons Jabeur has been very successful with those short cross-court passing shots - she seems a little bit more comfortable out here. She's getting under the ball a bit better with the forehand.

    And she takes it!

A cross-court forehand winner seals the deal. Dream start to this third set for Jabeur, not so much for Maria.

  14. Break point Jabeurpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 6-2 3-6 1-0 Maria*

Tatjana Maria gives Ons Jabeur a chance with a double fault to go 15-30 down on her serve, but the German manages to level things as the third seed goes wide.

Maria finds the net on the next point, though, and Jabeur has a look at a break.

  15. Jabeur holdspublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Well that's a statement.

Ons Jabeur jumps high into the air to whack down a backhand winner and get this deciding set off with a bang.

  16. Ram & Salisbury broken in third setpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Ram/Salisbury 6-3 7-6 (7-1) 1-2 Ebden/Purcell*

Progression to the men's doubles final might not be quite as serene for Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram as we thought a few minutes ago.

Having barely threatened on the British/American pair's serve, Aussie duo Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell have found their returning game, firing a couple of big winners to break the top seeds and keep alive their chances on Court One.

  17. Game and second set Mariapublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    *Jabeur 6-2 3-6 0-0 Maria

    We're going all the way.

Ons Jabeur finds the net again and Tatjana Maria levels things at one set each.

Ons Jabeur nails a forehand into the corner and that's the first set point saved.

    Two to go...

  19. Three set points Mariapublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 6-2 3-5 Maria*

The backhand doesn't work for Jabeur this time, finding the net to put Maria 15-0 up.

The Tunisian repeats her mistake to bring up 30-0.

And before you know it Maria has three set points.

Tatjana Maria has new balls so that will be an advantage - the ball will skip through the air a bit faster. If she can get some first serves down in this game that will be a huge advantage for her.
