    ...Elise Christie was forced out of the 1500m in the heats after being penalised for the second consecutive race.

    The Briton had finished first but was deemed not to have crossed the official line marked in the ice. It turned out she was wide by 1cm.

    The Sochi top three in this event were Zhou Yang from China, South Korea's Shim Suk-hee and Italian Arianna Fontana - who won the 500m in Pyeongchang on Tuesday.
