    Men's big air

Morgan needs a big score after crashing in his first attempt to a) boost his confidence and b) keep him in this competition.

The best two of the three runs count remember. Morgan can't afford another slip... the crowd like it... he lands perfectly... it's good!

Morgan scores 82.50. Just what the Pyeongchang doctor ordered.

    Men's big air

Red Gerard, who sounds like a Liverpool FC fanzine, won the United States' first gold of the Games in a thrilling men's slopestyle final.

Doesn't look like he'll match that feat here. He can only muster 65.50 with his second jump.

    Here's Billy Morgan...

There has been a frisson of excitement in the crowd and it’s not because of the first runs in the big air, it’s because Ivanka Trump has turned up.

Most of the TV cameras which are here to film athlete interviews and colour from the event have turned away from the action to train their cameras on President Trump’s daughter. Lots of fans are trying to take photos too but there is a heavy security presence around her.

I don't know what will be going though Billy Morgan's head.

He's no stranger to big finals but he does sometimes fall. We've seen him fall in the past at big events.

We know he's got these big tricks, so we just hope he can channel a bit of inner peace and lock it in.

He's a podium threat when he's on his game.

So that's the first run dusted. Norway's Torgeir Bergrem leads the way with 88.50, ahead of Canada's Max Parrot (85.00) and Sebastien Toutant (84.75).

Britain's Billy Morgan is down in 11th.

Ester Ledecka is aiming for some serious history from 03:00 GMT today.

The 22-year-old from the Czech Republic will definitely become the first athlete to compete in both skiing and snowboarding at the Winter Olympics.

Having claimed a shock victory in the women's super G by 0.01 seconds ahead of defending champion Anna Veith a week ago, she will aim to become only the fifth athlete to win gold in two sports at a Winter Games.

Unlike the previous athletes to achieve this milestone - all four of whom competed in Nordic events - Ledecka is aiming to win gold in two completely unrelated events.

What a story is she pulls it off.

A work of art from Max Parrot.

The whole trick is done on the take-off. He knows exactly where the landing is.

He's got two goes at the cab 1800 now, but he's put down a strong marker there.

Canada's four-time X Games big air gold medallist Max Parrot is one of the favourites for this competition. Here he is...

Boom. That looks good. A punch of the air from Parrot as he lands.

85.00. It's good enough for second.

Ouch. Sweden's Niklas Mattsson is next to go in the big air with his bristly ginger beard peaking out above his jacket.

He messes up his landing and his right arm drags back along the icy snow behind him. That must have hurt but he's trying not to show it.

There's a dent to his pride though. He's scored at just 36.00.

I hate to be negative but there will be no bobsleigh medals for Great Britain at these Games.

Despite all the pre-Olympic hype and two World Cup medals this season both crews are massively off the pace.

Brad Hall gave a thumbs-up to the cameras, but he will know that realistically a podium push is over.

Lamin Deen and his team looked genuinely in shock after climbing out of their sled at the end of the run (below). They did not expect to be nearly a second off the leading time at this stage.

The German sled fronted by Francesco Friedrich still leads the way, ahead of South Korea's Yunjong Woo.

Britain's Brad Hall has slid down 16th, with Lamin Deen now in 19th. Seven sleighs left to go in this first run...

This ambulance is waiting in the wings at the big air. Let’s hope it’s not needed today.

Although we haven’t got blue skies, it’s relatively mild and there’s no wind which means they can attempt their big tricks.

    Men's big air final

Wowser. We have a new leader in the men's big air.

Canadian Sebastien Toutant had moved top of the standings but he wasn't there for long. Noway's Torgeir Bergrem throws himself into the air before twisting himself round, round and around again before nailing the landing.

The judges give him a very handy score of 88.50.

    Men's four-man bobsleigh

A better start from the second British team, Brad Hall seems to be guiding his sled down nicely. They're 0.22 seconds adrift of the German leaders at the second split, much improved on Lamin Deen's effort.

But the second half of the run does not match up, Hall slowing down and ending up with a time of 49.25.

That's just 0.19 - and one place - ahead of Deen.

That was huge from Billy Morgan but he couldn't hold it.

He was clinging to that with his fingernails. The pressure is on now. The judges will love the nosegrab.

I'm hoping that will have got the adrenaline back in his system, and he's back on it for the next two jumps.

That's big. Can Billy Morgan hold it?

No! Down he goes. So close for the Briton.

A stunning trick with plenty of air but Morgan can't stay upright on the landing.

The judges score him at 30.00. Pressure on his final two jumps now.
