Welsh strawweight Cory McKenna improved her professional record to 8-2 with a superb victory over American favourite Cheyanne Vlismas at UFC Vegas 66.
Mckenna, 23, won by unanimous decision at The Apex in Las Vegas, USA.
She earned a takedown in the first round and enjoyed nine minutes and 41 seconds of control time versus just three seconds for her opponent.
The Cwmbran fighter ends 2022 with two wins, while Vlismas, who last fought in December 2021, has a record of 7-3.
In her previous bout at UFC Vegas 59, McKenna became the first woman to submit an opponent with the Von Flue choke as she beat Miranda Granger - the first time the she had attempted the manoeuvre.
The Apex in Vegas is a venue which is familiar to McKenna, having secured her UFC contract there when she impressed UFC president Dana White during his contender series in August 2020.
American Vlismas had bounced back from defeat in her UFC debut to secure back-to-back fight of the night bonuses, but had not fought since December 2021.
McKenna has said she would love to return to the UK to fight again with the UFC announcing a London card in March 2023.
