Michael Laverty secured a podium place by finishing third in the British Superbike round at Silverstone.

The Samsung Honda rider followed that up with a fifth position in race two and lies fifth in the series standings.

Ian Lowry had ninth and 13th place finishes while Alastair Seeley was 17th and 18th for the Tyco TAS Suzuki team.

Clogher rider Keith Farmer clinched the British Superstock 1000 title after finishing third in the race, with Jason O'Halloran too far behind to catch him.

Alex Lowes won both Superbike races, with new series leader Shane Byrne second on both occasions.

Byrne heads Australian Josh Brookes ahead of the final series of races at Brands Hatch on 14 October.

Marty Nutt from Castlerock was fourth in the Ducati 848 Challenge event and Glenn Irwin was seventh in the first of the British Supersport races.
