Isle of Man TT: Vick De Cooremeter to make debut

Belgian road racer Vick De Cooremeter will make his Isle of Man TT debut at this year's event.

The 28-year-old will contest all three 1000cc races on BMW machinery for the Okidoki Racing Team.

The Ghent rider said: "I feel ready to tackle the Mountain Course for the first time. Competing at the Isle of Man TT will be a dream come true."

De Cooremeter will contest the Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT on a BMW S1000RR.

The former Belgian Junior Supersport champion added: "I have been working hard learning the circuit using on board footage and I recently travelled to the island to spend time with the organisers.

"I'm under no pressure to get results for now, and I'm really looking forward to getting out there and experiencing the event for the first time."

Last year, De Cooremeter finished third in the Belgian Superbike championship.

The 2014 TT takes place from 24 May to 6 June.
