Isle of Man Classic TT: Anstey and Lougher record wins

Bruce Anstey dominated the Formula 1 Classic TT race on the Isle of Man from start to finish on Tuesday.

The Kiwi racer won on his two stroke Valvolene by Padgetts Racing YZR Yamaha by over a minute from James Hillier, with Russ Mountford third.

Anstey, 45, said it had been the "perfect race" and added: "It didn't miss a beat. I've had a big smile on my face for all three laps."

Lougher recorded his second victory of the week in the F2 class

He also set a new lap record of 123.894mph for the class.

The time is the quickest ever two stroke lap of the TT Mountain Course, breaking Ian Lougher's record set on a 500 V-twin Honda in the 1999 Senior TT.

Welshman Lougher, who secured victory in the 500cc class on Saturday, won the concurrently run Formula 2 race.

The 51-year-old from Cardiff brought his Yamaha home 54 seconds ahead of Chris Moore with Stuart Garton third.
