Michael Dunlop set the quickest lap of the evening at 114.29 mph
The second practice session for the 2015 Festival of Motorcycling was red flagged on Wednesday following two incidents near the 13th milestone.
It was confirmed on Thursday that Dutch racer Dennis Hoffer, 42, had died following a crash.
Multiple Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop set the quickest lap of the evening at 114.29 mph on his Team Classic Suzuki.
The third practice session will he held on Thursday evening.

Dennis Hoffer died following a crash at the 13th Milestone on the TT course
Nine riders completed a lap of the 37.75-mile (60km) TT course at an average speed of above 100 mph.
English racer Ken Davis, who also came off near the 13th Milestone in a separate incident, is reported as being "comfortable" but with "multiple fractures".
The two-week festival includes both the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT.
