    Mike Browne, winner of the Race of Legends and a four-time winner at the 2025 Armoy road races, speaking to BBC Sport NI:

    "It's pretty special. I had to work hard for that one at the start. I pulled away on the third lap and then rode a defensive race, riding to my pit-boards."

    Mike Browne crosses the line to win the feature 'Race of Legends' by 4.3 seconds from Paul Jordan, with both riders Honda-mounted.

    Michael Sweeney was a second adrift of Jordan in third, then Conor Cummins, Jamie Coward and Phil Crowe completing the leading six.

    Browne recorded the fastest lap of the race on his sixth circuit at 106.898mph.

    Browne has pulled the pin and leads by 2.5 seconds after lap five on his Honda with the help of the fastest lap of the race so far at 106.526mph.

    Jordan still second and Sweeney third, with Conor Cummins up to fourth.

    Just a reminder that in the first 'big bike' race of the day, the Open event, Mike Browne was the winner from Michael Sweeney and Paul Jordan.

    There were plenty of damp patches about for that race but there should be a lot more dry tarmac for this one.

    Stand by for the feature race of the day. 'The Race of Legends', which will round off Saturday's race programme.

    Only three riders have previously had their names carved on the winners' trophy - Michael Dunlop, winner on 10 occasions, Davey Todd, with two wins, and Ryan Farquhar, who was the victor in 2010.

    Whose name will be added to that roll of honour?

  14. Brolly takes the flag in Senior Support....published at 16:45 British Summer Time 26 July

    Sean Brolly completes a stellar day by just edging out Kevin Lavery by sixth one hundredths of a second to take victory in the Senior Support race.

    It was fast and furious at the front as the pair battled for supremacy throughout, with Brolly building on his third-place finish in the Supertwins race earlier by sealing the win.

    Lee Hara completed the rostrum.

    Manx rider Conor Cummins told BBC Sport NI that he was enjoying his Armoy road race weekend with his Burrows Engineering/RK Racing team.

    Cummins returned to the event last year after a lengthy absence with an FHO Racing-backed BMW at his disposal and came back for 2025 with his family, so much did he enjoy the 2024 edition of the meeting.

    Cummins rides a BMW for the Northern Ireland-based Burrows Engineering/RK Racing team in the big bike races and a Ducati V2 for the same outfit in the Supersport class.

    Mike Browne celebrates his Open race success with members of his BPE by Russell Racing team, including team principal Alister Russell and former racer Gary Dunlop, son of the late, great Joey.

    Browne will target a fourth race of the meeting in the upcoming 'Race of Legends' after also triumphing in the two Supersport races.
