Football League: Antrim 1-17 0-06 Waterford
- Published
Antrim secured the first win of their Football League Division Four campaign by comfortably beating Waterford.
The Saffrons raced into an early lead in difficult conditions at Creggan and led 0-11 to 0-2 at half-time, with CJ McGourty prominent on the scoresheet.
A Paddy Cunningham goal extended his side's lead to 11 points and a McGourty point from play made it 1-15 to 0-5.
Kevin Niblock made his return to action as a substitute and scored a point for the victors late on.
It was a much-needed victory for Antrim as they had lost their opening two league matches.
A five-point defeat by Leitrim was followed by a 3-9 to 1-13 loss to Wicklow three weeks ago.
Liam Bradley's side travel to face Carlow next Sunday.
