Dungannon Swifts are held to a 1-1 draw at home to Ballinamallard Unite at Stangmore Park.

Dungannon's poor home record continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ballinamallard United at Stangmore Park on Saturday.

The Mallards struck first as the Swifts defence was caught napping and Ryan Campbell ran on to a clearance to lob outrushing home keeper Gareth Buchanan.

That came on 19 minutes and Dungannon got level just before the interval through Matt Hazley.

He tapped in from Gary Liggett's cross ahead of a goal-less second half.

Dungannon dominated possession for spells after the break but they were almost went behind when Campbell controlled well only for his finish to let him down.

Cameron Grieve was closest to a winner for the Swifts as he cut in from the right and his well-struck effort was only a matter of inches wide.

The draw means Dungannon have still not registered a home win since beating Linfield in mid-November.

The point lifts Ballinamallard above Warrenpoint and out of the bottom two in the Premiership.
