Charlie Nesbitt took victory in the Sunflower Trophy race at Bishopscourt on Sunday, with last year's winner Richard Kerr taking runner-up spot.

English rider Nesbitt had already won Sunday's Superbike race on his Hawk Racing Honda, then saw off Kerr in the feature event by 3.95 seconds.

Danny Kent completed the podium.

Tom Booth-Amos edged out Eunan McGlinchey in the Supersport race while Cameron Dawson was the Supertwins victor from Jeremy McWilliams.

The eight-lap Twins race was a closely contested affair, with Dungannon man Dawson having just 1.8 seconds to spare over McWilliams at the chequered flag and Gary McCoy a further 0.9 seconds in arrears in the final rostrum position.

Kerr had been a convincing winner of Saturday's Superbike outing, but it was Nesbitt who reversed the placings when he occupied the top step in Sunday's Superbike outing, coming home 1.1 seconds ahead of Kerr, with Kent third on the Mar-Train Racing Yamaha.

Lee Jackson on the second of the Hawk Racing Hondas, Scott Swann and newly crowned Ulster Superbike champion Jason Lynn made up the top six leaderboard.

Nesbitt repeated the dose when it came to the 12-lap Sunflower race, taking the lead from Kerr in the early stages and then pulling clear.

Donegal rider Kerr held off Kent to take second by 0.08 seconds, followed by Swann, Jackson and Jonny Campbell.

The Supersports saw Gearlink Kawasaki-mounted Booth-Amos engaged in a race-long battle with McGlinchey, with the former ultimately taking the win with the help of a new lap record for the class.

The previous benchmark had been set by Richard Cooper as he claimed a Supersport double success on Saturday, but the Nottingham rider and his BPE by Russell Racing team-mate Dean Harrison were unable to compete in Sunday because of prior commitments.

Cooper had also been a convincing winner in the Supertwins category on Saturday to clinch a treble.

Sam Laffins was third in Sunday's Supersport event, 12.5 seconds adrift of second-placed McGlinchey.

The meeting ended up being held over Saturday and Sunday at the county Down circuit after Friday's scheduled action was abandoned because of adverse weather conditions.
