Australia's Mollie O'Callaghan won gold in the women's 200m freestyle yesterday and will have the chance to add another medal to her tally in the 100m freestyle after winning her semi-final.

O'Callaghan was 0.11 seconds shy of the time set by Hong Kong's Siobhan Haughey in the other semi-final and third fastest overall with compatriot Shayna Jack second.

And confirmation that Team GBs Anna Hopkin will not be in the final as she is 11th overall.

Stick with BBC One because very shortly, Team GB will be going for a medal in the pool as they compete in the men's 4x200m freestyle final. They qualified fastest in the semi-final. Over on our second stream, Andy Murray and Dan Evans continue their doubles bid. They're currently one set up on Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen, with the second set in a tie-break.

A hold to 15 from Andy Murray and it's a regular tie-break to decide the second set - first to seven, need to win by two clear points.

The Belgian pair have been bringing their level up and up and up during this match and they are beginning to become a bit of a problem.

They are not going away, they are taking care of business on their own serve and they are now piling the pressure on the Brits.

The Belgians have got at least a tie-break out of this second set. If GB hold their serve in the next game it will go to a tie-break.

On if it was the perfect race: "It definitely was in the way I wanted to execute it. It wasn't the time that I wanted but you know Olympic finals aren't about getting the time, it is about getting your hand on the wall first."

On his family and coach Andy in the crowd: "I haven't seen Andy, he is somewhere in the building. I've got no idea but I'm sure I will see him on that top podium later on.

"I actually heard Nathan [his twin brother] when I was walking out and I thought 'I can't believe you have shouted that.' He was the only person I could hear in the crowd which is pretty ironic, my twin is all I hear."

Team Ireland's Daniel Wiffen had to fight off several challengers claim gold and seal his place in the history books.

As well as taking a medal back home, Wiffen also has a number of new records to boast:

• A new Olympic record (7:38.19) and the fifth fastest time of all time.
• The first Olympian from Northern Ireland to win a gold medal since 1988.
• The first-ever Olympian from Northern Ireland to win a gold medal for Team Ireland.
• The first Olympian from Team Ireland to win a gold medal in swimming since 1996.
• Team Ireland’s first gold medallist of this Games.
• Ireland are up to 14th in the medal table.

Murray and Evans will sit down and say 'we are pushing them' but Vliegen came up with some great serving.

Andy Murray and Dan Evans are just raising the bar here, bringing plenty of energy. Murray there with the fist pumps. They are feeding off each other's energy and really bringing the level up for each other and it's working.

One break point was saved with an ace from Joran Vliegen, but the Belgians were soon staring down a second break point. Once more Vliegen served out wide and it again can't be returned. Deuce in game nine. Massive moment of this match.

But the Belgians come through the game, ending with another ace. Great serving when they needed it.

Adam Peaty tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. Others in the village have too.

It's understood those here are just following best practice precautions to prevent themselves catching anything. There are no specific Covid-19 rules at these Games.
