    "An-dy! An-dy! An-dy!"

The two-syllable chant made famous by Rocky echoes around Roland Garros.

Dan Evans gently encourages Andy Murray, who looks visibly upset from my seat at the back of the stand, to go back into the middle of court.

A near-standing ovation as Murray waves goodbye to a tennis court for the very last time.

Georgie: There is nothing and no one more determined and tenacious than an Andy Murray behind in a tennis match.

Barely half full in Lenglen (which is sad to see) but a decent atmosphere is being created by those who are here.

Even if the Brits do lose it now, at least their supporters have seen one more roaring Murray teeth clench and fist pump combo.

This could be the final game of Murray's career. Part trois.

Tommy Paul flings himself at the ball and ends up on the floor, missing the point. 0-15.

But a Taylor Fritz smash pulls the Americans level before Dan Evans goes long. 30-15.

Fantastic swim from Honey Osrin. The GB swimmer finishes second to Kaylee Mckeown of Australia and will be heading back to La Defense Arena on Friday night to take part in the women's 200m backstroke final. Peng Xuwei of China is third.

Katie Shanahan isn't too far behind Osrin, however, ending her semi-final in fourth place.

Last night Tommy Paul spoke about the importance of needing to take a match point against these two British bulldogs as soon as one arrived.

You can't let them hang on, is the gist of what he said.

Hang on they have... but for how long? You wouldn't bet on the Americans letting them off the hook again.

    Would you?

You can write Murray and Evans off now given how flat their service games have been today. Really disappointing to witness after the previous rounds. A match too far.
