So, it has reached that point where we are heading towards the last couple events of the Paris Games.

I know, heartbreaking times, but c'est la vie.

Firstly, over to the Bercy Arena where USA take on hosts, France right now.

If USA win they will overtake China and top the medal table for the 2024 Games, making it a 19th time that they have finished at the top of the Olympic medal table.

Seeing Tom Daley and Noah Williams claim bronze was special, but the quad sculls gold and how they beat Netherlands was amazing. To top it off we were lucky to meet Hannah Scott and her family in a bar afterwards. Such a wonderful family and friends to top off an amazing day.

Serbia edged past Croatia to win their third straight Olympic title in the men's water polo.

Milos Cuk led the Serbs with three goals as they defeated Croatia 13-11 in Paris.

They become just the third team to win three consecutive golds after Great Britain (1908-1920) and Hungary (2000-2008).

Despite not finishing in the top three of a World Championships since 2017, Serbia have reached the podium at every Olympic Game since 1996.

They will be joined on the podium by the United States who defeated Hungary in a dramatic bronze medal match.

The Americans were 8-6 down with just three minutes left before they pulled back two crucial goals to force a penalty shootout, which they won 3-0.

My best non Brit moment in the Olympics has been to see Cindy Ngamba win the refugee team win its first Olympic medal. The spirit of what the Olympics stands for is just so heart-warming.

The best non Brit moment for me has to be Djokovic’s Olympic win. What a wonderful story for the figure who has dominated men’s tennis over the last two decades to take that long missing golden crown. It must be immensely satisfying on the eve of his career to say he’s won everything now!

"I’ve done well, I was hoping for more today. This is the one I felt really confident [about] and I was doing really well, I just got it wrong and I paid the consequence for that."

The Netherlands' Harrie Lavreysen took gold ahead of Australian pair Matthew Richardson and Matthew Glaetzer.

'I am going to live my best life'published at 13:43 British Summer Time 11 August

    Women's sprint

Emma Finucane on BBC One after winning bronze in the women's sprint event: "Honestly, it feels amazing. I know I had the expectations coming into the Olympics but a gold and two bronze is more than I could have expected. It's been such a rollercoaster this week, my friends and my family experience the lows, the crying, the happy tears and I can't thank everyone enough who has helped me get to this place.

"That bronze medal, I literally gave it everything I could. To celebrate with my family who have been here all week, the support I've had back home, the National Lottery, I wouldn't be here without them. I wouldn't be here without British Cycling, Team GB, my friends, everyone that loves me. I am just really proud to deliver it on the final day and to just come home with another bronze medal is incredible. I can't believe it.

On the records she's broken: "I didn't even know half the stats. I was like 'oh wow'. I guess you just put it behind you because you are just focussing on the next race and then the next race. When I finally finished, I was like 'I'm done'. I haven't properly celebrated the team sprint or the keirin.

"Now I get to celebrate all three. I am going to live my best life now after the games and it's been such a journey. I'm just proud of who I am and how I have conducted myself on the track. Thank you to everyone back home, I can't believe it."
