Guernsey rower Erica Bodman is confident of doing well at next month's Great Britain trials after a win at the Diamond Jubilee Rowing Championships.

Leander club rower Bodman won the women's quadruple skulls alongside 2012 Olympian Katie Greves.

"It's a boost for the confidence," Bodman told BBC Guernsey.

"It's nice to get racing again, we don't usually do 2000m races at this time of the year, its usally 5,000m races on the river."

Bodman made the B finals of last year's British championships in the single skulls and raced for Great Britain at the 2011 European Championships.

She will race at the national trials in Boston on 27 November.

"We went into the final with really strong prospects and despite not the strongest of starts we managed to win it in the end," added Bodman.

"It wan't officially a GB trials event, but if you want to trial later in the season and you hadn't been to the Olympics the you had to attend this regatta."
