World Rowing Championships: Lightweight men's four win heat

The lightweight men's four were Great Britain's only Olympic-class heat winners on day two of the World Rowing Championships in the Netherlands.

Mark Aldred, Peter and Richard Chambers and Chris Bartley will now face a semi-final in Amsterdam on Friday.

The openweight men's double scull of John Collins and Jonny Walton face a repechage in their semi-final bid.

The men's eight crew face France for a place in the final after Germany won their heat.

There were also two heat wins for Britain in international classes, the non-Olympic events.

The men's coxed pair of Alan Sinclair, Scott Durant and cox Henry Fieldman reached Friday's final.

And the lightweight men's pair of Sam Scrimgeour and Jono Clegg are into the semi-finals.

Rachel Morris was a Paralympic cycling medallist in 2008 and 2012

Earlier in the day, Rachel Morris led a strong Great Britain showing as all three para-rowing crews secured final places.

Former Paralympic hand-cycling champion Morris, 35, qualified in the arms-shoulders women's single scull.

Tom Aggar then won his men's single scull heat, before the British mixed coxed fours earned a final spot.

Grace Clough, Pamela Relph, Dan Brown, James Fox and cox Oliver James beat the United States over the final 300m.
