Marc Sneyd: Salford reject half-back's transfer request

Salford Red Devils have rejected a transfer request from half-back Marc Sneyd, who has impressed during a season-long loan spell at Castleford.
The 23-year-old has 18 months of his contract left to run with Salford.
"We have made very clear to Marc that our intention was for him to play out the remainder of his contract," Red Devils chief executive Martin Vickers told the club website., external
"He remains an integral part of our plans moving forward."
Salford already have England international Rangi Chase and French youngster Theo Fages as part of their squad and another half-back, former Hull KR captain Michael Dobson, will join them in 2015.
Sneyd's form has helped Castleford, unfancied at the start of the season, to fourth in Super League and also to the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup.
