Leeds Rhinos forward Stevie Ward is set to miss between four and six weeks with an ankle injury suffered in Friday's Super League victory against St Helens.

The injury means he is a major doubt for Leeds's Challenge Cup semi final against Saints at the end of July.

Ward, 21, has scored four tries for the Rhinos in Super League this season.

"It is disappointing for Stevie as he has been in outstanding form so far this season," head coach Brian McDermott told the club website., external

"However, it could have been worse news and our medical team will do everything possible to get the injury right as quickly as possible."
