Hull KR scored 36 unanswered second-half points to beat Salford Red Devils 46-22 and finish top of The Qualifiers with seven wins from seven games.
Both teams were already assured of their Super League spots in 2016.
Josh Mantellato scored a try and kicked six goals for Rovers, for whom Kris Welham and Tyrone McCarthy scored tries in their final outings for the club.
Salford's former England and Great Britain prop Adrian Morley made his last appearance before retiring.
The first player to win 50 international caps in rugby league, Morley spent the final two years of a glittering playing career with his home-town club.
Harrison Hansen and Lama Tasi both scored first-half tries in their farewell appearances for the Red Devils, who had needed to win by 16 points to finish top of the table.
Greg Johnson and Ryan Lannon also crossed for the visitors, while George Lawler, Ken Sio, Dane Chisholm, Ben Cockayne and Maurice Blair were Hull KR's other try scorers.
Although they needed The Qualifiers to secure their top-flight status for next season, Hull KR can be content with a campaign in which they also reached the Challenge Cup final for the first time since 1986.
Hull KR coach Chris Chester told BBC Radio Humberside:
"It was a tale of two halves. I could sense before the game that the mindset wasn't quite right and it shouldn't take a rocket at half-time to make these boys click, but that's what it took.
"It looked like we'd been thrown together before the game and a few harsh words were said.
"To keep them scoreless in the second half pleased me the most."
