Super League games at Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos, Wakefield and St Helens have been postponed due to freezing weather.
Hull KR were due to play Castleford Tigers at Craven Park on Thursday, but the club said journeys "posed a risk".
Wakefield's game against Huddersfield, scheduled for Friday, will now take place on Sunday (15:00 GMT) with Saints against Salford hoping to follow suit.
Leeds Rhinos said the decision to call off Friday's game against Catalans Dragons "was not taken lightly".
"It is something that has happened on only a handful of occasions in the past 20 years," Leeds Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington added.
"We have taken the decision early because there is no sign of the situation improving according to forecasts."
Catalans' trip to Headingley and Castleford's visit to Hull KR will be re-arranged for later in the season.
Hull FC say their match against Warrington is still going ahead while Wigan, who are due to play Widnes at home on Friday, held a pitch inspection at the DW Stadium at 17:00 GMT.
The RFL match commissioner and both clubs were happy conditions were good enough for the game to go ahead, but a second precautionary inspection will take place at 10:30 on Friday.
St Helens say they will play their game against Salford at 16:00 on Sunday following two inspections earlier in the day.
"This decision is to allow the pitch the greatest chance to thaw," said a club statement., external
"We fully understand the disruption this may cause fans but with a very busy fixture list both clubs are keen to get the game on if we can this weekend."
