Long-serving Lloyd signs new Cornwall deal

Cornwall forward Jake Lloyd has signed a new deal to stay at the League One side for a fourth season.
The former Lancashire and Great Britain amateur player has been with the Choughs since their first season in 2022 and is one of their most-experienced players.
He is the latest member of the squad to commit to the club after Ken Stone's takeover last month, following the likes of David Weetman, Adam Rusling and head coach Mike Abbott in signing for 2025.
"Cornwall has become my home over the last four years, and this club holds a special place in my heart," Lloyd told the club website, external.
"I've been here since the beginning, and seeing the journey we've been on together has been incredible.
"My motivation comes from wanting to continue contributing to the growth of rugby league in this region and to repay the support of the amazing fans who've backed us every step of the way."
Abbott added: "Lloydy doesn't get the credit he deserves. He just gets on with it without complaint playing wherever we've needed him and doing whatever for the cause.
"He puts his body in places he shouldn't and probably shortens his life expectancy as a result, but does whatever is needed for the team. Jake leads by example and I'm so glad he's with us for this year."
