Nicholson to leave Warrington for Canberra

Matty Nicholson will leave Warrington Wolves at the end of the Super League season to join NRL side Canberra Raiders.
The 20-year-old will move to Canberra on a three-year contract, with Warrington receiving a "significant" transfer fee.
The second-row forward has made 41 appearances for the Wolves and scored 11 tries since he joined from Wigan Warriors in June 2022.
Nicholson, who has won two England caps, moves to the NRL club to fill the gap left by ex-England forward and current Canberra captain Elliott Whitehead, 34, who is returning to Catalans Dragons for the 2025 season.
"It’s been a lifetime ambition of mine growing up to play in the NRL," Nicholson told Warrington's website, external.
“That’s the pinnacle of the sport and I’ve always pushed myself to play in that competition one day."
He will continue to be involved with the Wolves for the rest of the season, with the side sitting second - below Wigan - in the Super League table after Thursday's victory over Leeds Rhinos.
